DescriptionParticipate as a member of a team responsible for implementing and supporting all standard network and security platforms used within the VIDA network. Responsible for solid, consistent deployments, to maintain high standards of security, availability, and performance for multiple large-scale public safety voice systems. Provide networking expertise to the implementation system engineering team, serve as escalation point for network deployment issues and will be responsible for consistently documenting lessons learned.
Implements complex IP-Based radio systems, including pre-sales support and design; Utilizing standard configuration templates to consistently and efficiently deploy real-world networks; involved in deploying new Cisco hardware and operating systems; Aggressively resolvies problems; Administering Cisco networks; .
Qualifications:
6+ years of network administration or design experience
Experience with TCP/IP and networking principles
Experience in network security and network security auditing tools
Experience with troubleshooting network issues
Experience with Windows operating systems
Experience with the Solaris/UNIX operating systems
Preferred Additional Skills:
Professional certifications (e.g. CCNP, CISSP) are a plus; candidate must be able to complete DoD 8570 TECH II baseline IA certifcation (or higher) within one year
Some programming experience
In depth knowledge of EIGRP, ACLs, intrusion detection systems and firewall rules
Knowledge of VoIP systems
Ability to remain calm under pressure, to smoothly context switch between issues and prioritize them appropriately
Has clear & concise ability to communicate issues in a less technical sense to management and business
Demonstrate leadership skills which include customer focus, change management, teamwork, diversity, and integrity
Self-motivated team player, able to set priorities and manage to deadlines
Excellent trouble-shooting, communication and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to proactively resolve problems
Qualifications must include:
BSEE, BSCE, or other similar technical degree
6+ years of network administration or design experience
Experience with TCP/IP and networking principles
Experience in network security and network security auditing tools
Experience with the Solaris/UNIX operating systems
US Citizen or Perm Resident with Green Card only. No sponsorship is available.
