Database Administrator Job in Waukegan Illinois (IL)

DESCRIPTION
The DBA will be responsible for the design and testing of database software environments as well as consulting with users to determine hardware and software functional specifications. The DBA will also responsible for the design, documentation, testing, creation and modification of database software related to machine operating systems.

The DBA will ensure that the database environment is highly reliable, provides the required functionality, and is efficient and cost effective. Job tasks will include maintaining accountability for the creation of the logical and physical data models, troubleshooting daily program problems to assist program users in accessing and manipulating computerized data, and analyzing and creating programs to streamline production jobs.

Qualifications:

• Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g DBA knowledge and experience is required along with large Datawarehouse experience (terabytes) and RAC.
• Must have at least ten years of dedicated DBA experience as well as clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Data Guard, Replication and other DBMS is preferred.
