Oracle Database Administrator Job in Trenton New Jersey (NJ)

DESCRIPTION
A Database Administrator is required for Oracle database administration. There are several initiatives that need to be implemented over the next fiscal year. There are three specific deliverables that will be produced as a result of this engagement. The DBA will create an active data guard physical standby database for the ECATS application, which is necessary so that Business Objects reports users run their ad-hoc reports against the replicated database and avoid running against the transactional production database. The DBA will convert the extremely large volume tables in the ECATS application to partitioned tables to increase system performance. Finally, the DBA will set up Oracle ASM (Automated Storage Management) for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other enterprise databases to provide better control and reduce the raw storage required by these larger database systems (and therefore the cost).

Qualifications:

• Oracle DBA certified version 8 or 9, Certified in Oracle RAC
• Ten years of Oracle 9l, 10G and 11G database administration experience required
• Five years of technical database administration in Oracle 1-G AIX required
• Five years of Oracle RMAN backup/recovery administration and implementation experience required
• Ten years of experience with Oracle SQL Plus and PL/SQL required
• Ability to install Oracle RDBMS software, upgrade and security patches required with ten years of associated experience
• Experience with Oracle 10G and 11G installations on AIX platforms highly desired
• One year of experience with the installation and configuration of OEM with Grid Control required
• 1 year of experience with the installation of multi node Oracle RAC cluster required
