Oracle Administrator - 10gR2 - RAC - PeopleSoft - Linux - SQL
* This is a corp-to-corp contract-to-hire position in Brentwood, TN.
Are you an Oracle DBA with 3+ years of experience with RAC RDBMS systems and PeopleSoft applications?

What you need for this position:
* Thorough understanding managing multiple Oracle 10gR2, RAC RDBMS systems
* Strong experience using Oracle RMAN backup/recovery utilities
* Extensive background tuning SQL, PL/SQL and database objects.
* Background with PeopleSoft systems
* Experience with Linux Redhat Server 4 or 5
* Must have worked in a 24x7 distributed environment
* Bachelors degree in MIS, computer science or engineering
What you will be doing:
* Manage setup, configuration, maintenance and performance of Oracle systems
* Oversee E-business process analysis, functional specification
* Work closely with and communicate with cross-functional groups (development, QA, production, systems administration)
* Work with Oracle GRID Server and GRID Server components, including installation, configuration and patching
* Utilize third party tools such as TOAD or SQL Developer
* Manage RDBMS, utilizing the Linux Operating System, Oracle 10gR2 with RAC (development, test and production)
* Analyze performance issues in PeopleSoft environment, orchestrate tuning efforts with different groups
* Understand PeopleSoft architecture, data management, partitioning, devise data archive methodology
* Participate in various initiatives like EPM Datawarehouse using ETL tools, project code migrations etc.
* Monitor and administer Oracle RDBMS, RAC and Dataguard components, using OEM, SQL scripts
* Administer backup, recovery and environment refreshes using RMAN and scripts, assess/evaluate alternate or hardware strategies
* Perform upgrades, patches and installations of Oracle RDBMS, Clusterware and RAC components
