Operations SQL DBA
Our client seeks an Operation SQL DBA, This person will be part of a team responsible for the security, configuration, troubleshooting, stability, and availability of all transactional database systems. Individual will work with developers and team members to develop queries for accessing information in the databases.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve Real Time DB systems issues. (24X7).
Will work with DBA team members and developers to insure optimal performance of queries interacting with databases.
Proactively schedule and monitor DB maintenance activities.
Backups
Index Defrags
Consistency Checks
Etc.
Responsible for Operational Change Control Management and scheduling that is required to support the production database systems.
SQL Server Upgrades
SQL Server Service Packs
SQL Server Security patches
Job Changes
Fail-over
Assist in doing LT.Com Code pushes.
Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
SQL Server SSIS/SSRS/SSAS and Service Broker skills required Experience working with SQL Server Clusters is required Level of knowledge equivalent to a MCDBA VB .NET Experience a plus Strong communication skills Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Programming or related field.
7 plus years working with Microsoft SQL Server database administration tasks, database development tasks, or operational support tasks.
